2010 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition shows off new 6.2L Boss V8

The 2010 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition was revealed at the Chicago Auto Show last week. Instead of sporting the expected 5.4L V8, the Harley Edition had the all new 6.2L Boss V8 under the hood.

The new Boss is an important engine for Ford, who often get criticized for putting out underpowered V8's. The 5.4L replacement is especially important since Ford is committed to offering V8's in only the Mustang and it's large trucks.

The Boss makes a nice round 400 horsepower and 400 lbft of torque, and is only officially slated to appear in the SVT Raptor at the moment. We can imagine that this is a tell tale sign that the engine will indeed appear in other versions of the F150, and (cross your fingers), a version of the Mustang as well.
