Hurst announces 50th anniversary Dodge Viper
Hurst is going all out for it's 50th anniversary. First it brings a new version of the Challenger, and now it's rolling out a special edition Viper. Hurst will build fifty of the Vipers (get it?), all with similar features as the Challenger.
Upgrades will include a pistol grip shifter and Hurst wheels. The interior will be stitched up by Katzkin leather, and sound effects will come via a Corsa exhaust. As for colors, you will be offered the usual two: black with gold stripes, and white with gold stripes.
The car you see in the picture is a one of a kind that will be auctioned at next month's Barret-Jackson. It features matte gold paint with a matte black racing stripe and black gold wheels. Check the press release blow for more details.

Ten of the fastest Mustangs ever produced
The 2010 Ford Mustang has been tested with a 5.3 second 0-60 time and a 13.9 second quarter mile at 101.7 mph. Solid numbers indeed, but how does it stack up with other production Mustangs?
Certainly there will be more powerful iterations of the car, as Ford has already strongly hinted that it will have an announcement next month which we presume will be about the next Shelby GT500. This is great news, as the next Chevrolet Camaro seems poised to easily outrun the GT.
Motor Trend recently dug through it's old stories and brought back ten of the fastest Mustangs it has ever tested. Each of these will outrun a new GT, but to be fair, they also have their fair share of mods. Stay tuned to see what Ford has up their sleeve for the newest pony car in their stable.

Dodge Challenger sculptures, 2010 Ford Mustang Hot Wheels
'Tis the season for giving, and what better to give your muscle car fan than some toys? Grown up toys, that is. And here's a couple of toys for that Challenger or Mustang fan in your life.
Bent Rod Garage is offering a 12 inch sculpture of the Dodge Challenger, which comes in three factory colors. Each is limited to a run of 300 units, and will cost you $120.
Next is the 2010 Ford Mustang Hot Wheels. Shortly after the LA Auto Show introduction of the new Mustang, Mattel announced that it would be producing it's own replica of the new model. Mattel partnered with Ford to produce a nicely done model that closely resembles the real thing.
